Senegal Sports Ministry Rejects Thiaw Compensation Claims

The Senegalese Ministry of Sports has reportedly refused to accept financial responsibility for any compensation that may arise from the potential termination of Pape Thiaw's contract as head coach of the national football team. This disagreement between the Ministry and the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has created uncertainty regarding the future of the Teranga Lions' technical setup.

The Ministry has formally informed the FSF that it will not provide financial support for any compensation package linked to Thiaw’s contract termination, asserting that decisions regarding the appointment or removal of the national team coach are the responsibility of the FSF. Consequently, any contractual obligations resulting from a decision to part ways with Thiaw must be managed solely by the FSF.
