Seplat Energy Declares Interim and Special Dividend 2026
Seplat Energy Plc has announced an interim dividend of US5 cents and a special dividend of US4 cents per ordinary share for the period ended March 31, 2026. The filing sets out qualification dates, payment currency options, and a payment date of on or around June 19, 2026.
Seplat Energy Plc, listed on both the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the London Stock Exchange (LSE), announced on April 30, 2026 a total dividend of US9 cents per ordinary share of ₦0.50k each, comprising an interim dividend of US5 cents and a special dividend of US4 cents. Both dividends are subject to applicable withholding tax.
Shareholders must appear on the Register of Members as at the close of business on June 5, 2026 to qualify. The NGX register will close on June 8, 2026. On the LSE, the ex-dividend date is June 4, 2026, with an associated record date of June 5, 2026.
The dividend will be paid in either Naira or US dollars depending on the shareholder's listing platform and Certificate of Capital Importation (CCI) status. NGX shareholders without a valid CCI will receive payment in Naira by default. The Naira exchange rate will be determined using rates applicable on June 4, 2026, and communicated to shareholders on June 5, 2026.
Payment is scheduled for on or around June 19, 2026, electronically to shareholders who have completed e-dividend registration with Datamax Registrars Limited. LSE depositary interest holders should submit account details to Computershare.
