Lukaku and Napoli Settle Training Dispute After Talks

Romelu Lukaku, the 32-year-old Belgian international striker, recently resolved a training dispute with Napoli following constructive discussions. The club had considered potential disciplinary action against Lukaku, who failed to return to Italy for rehabilitation during his hamstring injury recovery.

Instead, he remained in Belgium to work on his fitness. The resolution came after Lukaku met with Napoli officials, including sports director Giovanni Manna and his agent Federico Pastorello.

Sources close to the discussions indicated that the meeting clarified the situation and established a mutual understanding. Lukaku has made only seven appearances this season due to injury, with his last outing being a substitute appearance in Napoli's 2-1 victory over Torino on March 6.

During the talks, Lukaku provided an update on his rehabilitation plan, and Napoli expressed satisfaction with his progress, hoping he would return to the squad within the next couple of weeks.
