Shakara Festival to Transform Lagos' Detty December 2025

The Shakara Festival, scheduled for December 18 to December 21, 2025, at Nautica Beach Resort in Lekki, Lagos, is poised to redefine Nigeria's vibrant 'Detty December' experience. This groundbreaking four-day outdoor celebration of African music and culture is expected to attract 20,000 attendees daily, including diasporans returning home for the holidays and music enthusiasts from across Africa and beyond.

The festival promises an immersive world-class experience showcasing the best of African creativity through live music, art, fashion, and food. Daytime activities will include panel sessions and workshops led by thought leaders in music, media, and the creative economy, offering valuable insights to visitors.

The festival will also feature a bustling marketplace, Shakara Junction, filled with food vendors and artisans showcasing unique Nigerian and African products. At night, the festival will transition to Shakara Afterdark, featuring exclusive parties with performances from Africa's biggest stars across various genres.
