Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Rejects Maulid Celebration for His Birth, Emphasizing Spiritual Teachings

Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, a prominent Islamic scholar in Nigeria, has rejected the observance of a special Maulid celebration for his birth as indicated in his will. He emphasized that it is not worthy to have birthday celebrations for revered figures like the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Shehu Tijjani, and Shehu Ibrahim Inyass.

Sheikh Dahiru cautioned against comparing months to great Islamic figures and warned against claims that specific months brought these revered personalities. He highlighted that every Muqaddam (spiritual leader) is not to have a Maulid celebration on their birthday.
