VP Shettima Represents Tinubu at AU Summit in Addis Ababa

Vice President Kashim Shettima left Abuja to attend the 2026 African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, representing President Bola Tinubu. The summit's theme revolves around ensuring sustainable water availability and safe sanitation systems to meet the objectives of Agenda 2063.

Shettima will engage in high-level discussions with political and business leaders to enhance Nigeria's diplomatic and economic partnerships across the continent. The summit will feature the 39th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union Heads of State and Government and the 30th General Assembly scheduled for February 14-15, 2026.

Shettima aims to strengthen Nigeria's strategic partnerships during bilateral talks. The Vice President is expected to return to Nigeria after the official engagements in Addis Ababa.
