Nigerian Leaders Urge Diaspora to Invest in Critical Sectors for National Development

At the 8th Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit in Abuja, leaders including Shettima and Dabiri-Erewa called on Nigerians in the diaspora to invest their expertise and resources in critical sectors to drive transformation across the country. The summit aimed to mobilize diaspora investments and align them with the government's development agenda.

Suggestions included establishing a diaspora bank, an investment trust fund, and mobilizing diaspora savings for entrepreneurship. The Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) was commended for its efforts in mobilizing diaspora investments.
