VP Shettima Returns to Nigeria After Guinea and Davos Diplomatic Missions

Vice President Kashim Shettima concluded a week-long diplomatic and economic mission to Guinea and Switzerland. He represented President Bola Tinubu at the inauguration of President Mamadi Doumbouya in Guinea before proceeding to Switzerland for the 56th World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

Shettima highlighted Nigeria's commitment to regional solidarity in West Africa and its economic potential. He participated in various high-level engagements, including the inauguration of Nigeria's first-ever sovereign pavilion at Davos, promoting the country as an investment hub.

Shettima was joined by prominent figures like former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and Minister of Finance Wale Edun. The forum emphasized the importance of African industrialization driven by domestic capital and value chains over foreign aid.
