Kashim Shettima to Represent Tinubu at G20 Summit in South Africa Amid Security Concerns

Vice President Kashim Shettima is set to represent President Bola Tinubu at the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, as Tinubu remains in Nigeria to address urgent security issues. Shettima departed from Abuja on Friday afternoon for the summit, where South African President Cyril Ramaphosa will be hosting leaders from the world's top 20 economies.

Tinubu postponed his trip to South Africa following recent security incidents in Kebbi and Kwara states. The summit is scheduled to take place on November 22nd and 23rd at the Johannesburg Expo Centre.
