Shock in Jigawa as Decomposed Body Found on Kandahar Hill

In Jigawa State, shock ensued as the decomposed body of Ado Barau, also known as Jojo Kasarau, was found on Kandahar Hill opposite Dutse General Hospital. Barau, who had battled mental illness for years, was discovered in an advanced state of decay on September 16.

The police confirmed the identity of the body and coordinated its burial with the local government welfare department in the presence of relatives and community representatives. The elder brother of the deceased, Rabiu Shehu, confirmed Barau's mental condition and dismissed rumors of missing body parts.

The police urged residents to ignore fake reports and assured the public of their commitment to safety and professionalism.
