Nollywood actor Jim Iyke recently sparked a debate by suggesting that single mothers cannot raise boys into proper men without male influence. In an interview with Okay FM in Accra, Ghana, Iyke argued that women alone are not equipped to instill certain qualities in boys that only a male figure can provide.

He emphasized the importance of having a male presence in a boy's life, whether it be a brother, father, or trusted man, to ensure proper upbringing. Iyke explained that while women naturally excel in nurturing, the balance of discipline and structure that a male figure brings is essential in raising a well-rounded man.

He cautioned that without this influence, boys raised solely by women may lack the necessary guidance and discipline, potentially leading to weaknesses in their character.
