Bayelsa LG Chairmen Resign from PDP, Back Governor's APC Defection

Six local government chairmen in Bayelsa State resigned from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to show solidarity with Governor Diri's defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The chairmen, led by Lelei Tariy Isaac, announced their decision at a press conference held at the ALGON secretariat in Yenagoa.

This move deepens the crisis within the PDP in Bayelsa, with the chairmen expressing gratitude for the support received under Diri's administration. Notably, some chairmen were absent from the announcement.
