Anambra Governor Soludo Signs 2026 Budget, Prioritizes Economic Growth and Social Welfare

Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has signed the 2026 Appropriation Bill into law, increasing the budget from N757 billion to N766 billion. The signing ceremony, held at the Light House in Awka, marks a new chapter in the state's fiscal management.

The budget increase follows extensive deliberations by the State Assembly. Governor Soludo's spokesman, Chris Anytim, highlighted the government's priorities, including fostering economic growth, accelerating infrastructure projects, and enhancing social welfare programs across Anambra.

The Governor praised the State lawmakers for their partnership in enacting laws that will accelerate development and prosperity in Anambra State. Key attendees at the signing ceremony included Speaker Somtochukwu Udez and other state officials.
