South-East PDP Lawmakers Threaten Boycott Over Convention Dispute

South-East PDP representatives are considering boycotting the party's national convention due to the decision to relocate the woman leader position from their region to another zone. The lawmakers, led by Ikenga Imo Ugochinyer, expressed their discontent and warned of potential division within the party.

The issue arose after Enugu State's woman leader position became vacant following Governor Peter Mbah's defection to the APC. The South-East caucus is urging PDP leaders, including Governor Ademola Adeleke, to intervene and ensure the position remains in the region to avoid further internal crisis.
