APC Chair Claims Southern Govs Backing Tinubu for Presidency

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has claimed that some Southern governors have abandoned their political parties to support Bola Tinubu's potential second term bid for the presidency. Yilwatda stated that these governors believe in Tinubu's leadership qualities and are backing him for another term.

He emphasized that the APC is open to new entrants and commended the governors for their realistic approach in supporting a candidate they believe can move Nigeria forward. Yilwatda's remarks were made during the 12th Expanded Stakeholders meeting held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, where the party's Deputy National Chairman South, Chief Emma Eneukwu, also spoke.
