Sporting Lagos topped the Super 4 table and claimed the Nigeria National League (NNL) title despite suffering a 1-0 loss to their fierce rivals, Inter Lagos. The match featured a decisive goal from Hassan Bashiru, who scored in the seventh minute, giving Inter Lagos hope for a comeback.

However, Sporting Lagos maintained a resolute defense that limited their opponents' long-range efforts. The final whistle confirmed Sporting Lagos's victory in the league, as they finished six points ahead of Inter Lagos with a superior goal difference of four goals compared to Inter Lagos's two goals.

This achievement marks Sporting Lagos's first-ever NNL title since the club's creation in 2022, alongside a prize of 10,000,000 naira and an additional trophy.
