Stakeholders Lament Unfulfilled Potential as Nigeria Turns 65, Call for Electoral Reform

As Nigeria marks its 65th independence anniversary, stakeholders across various sectors express concerns over the nation's unfulfilled potential and missed opportunities for growth. Issues such as an unstable economy, housing deficits, educational challenges, and poor service delivery are highlighted as hindrances to national development.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan and other prominent leaders have initiated discussions on electoral reform to address these concerns, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive national dialogue. The National Consultative Front (NCF) and Labour Civil Society Front (LCSF) are convening gatherings to launch the Electoral Reform Movement ahead of the 2027 elections, aiming to address critical issues facing the nation.
