Femi Branch Urges Politicians to Protect Children’s Lives

Femi Branch, a Nollywood actor, made a heartfelt plea on his Instagram page on Saturday morning, urging Nigerian politicians to cease playing "dirty politics" with the lives of children. This appeal came in the wake of the mass abduction of school children across Nigeria, with the latest incident involving the release of 46 kidnapped individuals, including school children and a teacher, from a school in Oyo State.

These victims were held captive for 56 days before their release on Friday, July 10, 2026. Branch reacted to comments made by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who insinuated political motives surrounding the incident.

He emphasized that children in Nigeria have already suffered enough and should not be used as pawns in political games. Branch's emotional appeal called for the protection of innocent children, highlighting the trauma they endure during such abductions.
