Kaduna Senator Urges Opposition to Stop Politicizing Insecurity

Senator Uba Sani of Kaduna State urged opposition leaders to stop politicizing insecurity issues during a public presentation of a book by late Sheikh Abubakar Mahmud Gumi. He emphasized that insecurity in the North West differs from Boko Haram in the North East, attributing it to poverty and neglect.

Governor Uba Sani highlighted the need for a holistic approach to resolving insecurity beyond firearms, citing Nigeria's security manpower shortage despite population growth. He criticized those reducing the security issue to gun solutions.

The event, attended by President Bola Tinubu, aimed to address the complexities of banditry and insecurity in Nigeria.
