Cleric Urges Kwara to Stop Victimising Saraki

Sheikh Gwani Yusuf, an Islamic cleric, addressed the ongoing political tensions in Kwara State, urging the state government to cease what he termed the "victimisation" of Bukola Saraki, the former Senate President. He described the recent decision to arraign Saraki and his associates in connection with the 2018 Offa robbery incident as a political witch hunt.

Yusuf emphasized that the political rift in Kwara State is detrimental to the interests of the northern region, especially with the upcoming 2027 elections. He called for unity among northern leaders, stating that the region cannot afford to undermine its own leadership.

The cleric highlighted the need for the region to respect its political strengths and work towards collective prosperity rather than engaging in divisive politics. He urged the Kwara State government to rise above personal political interests and focus on the greater good for the people.
