Max Amuchie Reveals 'Trinity of State Decay' Theory

Dr. Max Amuchie, Chief Executive Officer of Sundiata Post, unveiled his theory titled "Trinity of State Decay," which aims to diagnose Nigeria's structural crisis.

The first installment of this two-part series, published in the Sundiata Stew Syndic column, discusses how the nation does not recognize its decline until it can no longer maintain normalcy. Amuchie argues that Nigeria's crisis stems from a disconnect between two rival systems: an institutional mirage and a shadow order.

He describes the "insecur triad," which involves organized violence and the erosion of state sovereignty. The theory introduces the concept of "constitutive erasure," where armed groups displace communities and assert control over territories.

Amuchie emphasizes the need for the state to negotiate with non-state actors, including bandits and terrorist groups, to regain legitimacy. The release coincides with the launch of Sundiata Post's intelligence unit, SPiU, and Amuchie is scheduled to deliver a keynote address on the insecur triad framework on April 26, 2023.
