Nigerian Striker Emanuel Emegha to Join Chelsea, Opts Out of Playing for Nigeria

Nigerian striker Emanuel Emegha, who plays for Strasbourg, has decided to no longer represent Nigeria and will instead join Chelsea next summer. The 22-year-old recently made a late substitute appearance for the Netherlands in a FIFA World Cup qualifier against Poland in Warsaw.

Emegha, who wore the number 9 shirt as the Strasbourg captain, helped the Dutch team secure three points in the match. Despite previous approaches from the Nigeria Football Federation, Emegha has chosen to stick with the Dutch national team.
