Super Eagles Midfielder Ebenezer Names Former Nigerian Players He Admires

In a media interaction, 21-year-old Super Eagles midfielder Ebenezer expressed his love for watching former Nigerian players John Obi Mikel and Austin Jay Jay Okocha. Ebenezer, who currently plays for Serie B club Pisa on loan from Inter Milan, admitted that he did not watch much football growing up but developed a passion for the game later on.

He mentioned that he watched videos of Mikel and Okocha on YouTube to improve his skills. Ebenezer's sentiments were shared during a discussion with the Super Eagles media team ahead of the 2025 AFCON, where he is expected to feature in the squad under manager Eric Chell.
