Super Eagles Drop to 45th in Latest FIFA Rankings, Morocco Tops African Teams

The Nigerian national football team, Super Eagles, slipped to the 45th position in the latest FIFA rankings, dropping one spot from their previous 44th position. The Atlas Lions of Morocco are now the highest-ranked African team at 11th position.

Super Eagles recently played in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, defeating Rwanda and drawing with South Africa. European champions Spain have replaced Argentina at the top of the rankings.

Slovakia made the biggest jump by climbing 10 places. This ranking reflects the current standing of national football teams globally and in Africa.
