Super Falcons Qualify for 2026 WAFCON After Draw with Benin

Nigeria's Super Falcons secured their place in the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations after a 1-1 draw against Benin, earning a 3-1 aggregate victory. Ashleigh Plumptre scored her first international goal for Nigeria, while Esther Okoronkwo's header gave the Super Falcons an early lead.

Despite Benin equalizing in the second half, Nigeria managed to protect their aggregate lead and qualify for the tournament. The Super Falcons will participate in the 14th edition of the WAFCON set to take place in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, 2026.
