Super Falcons’ Rasheedat Ajibade Officially Joins PSG

Nigerian footballer Rasheedat Ajibade has officially joined Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after a successful career in Europe. Ajibade, born in Lagos in 1999, began playing football at 13 and quickly rose through the ranks, earning recognition as one of Africa's brightest female prospects.

She was named the NFF Young Player of the Year in 2018. Ajibade had a productive spell at Atlético de Madrid before moving to Avaldsnes IL in Norway, where she made 25 appearances, scoring eight goals and providing three assists.

As the captain of the Nigerian Super Falcons, Ajibade led her country to two Women's Africa Cup of Nations titles. She is set to feature prominently in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Ajibade expressed excitement and pride in joining PSG, one of Europe's top clubs, and is looking to make an immediate impact in the French top.
