Supporters dump former Plateau Rep member, refuse to decamp to APC

Former Plateau Representative, Hon Solomon Maren, faced a setback as his supporters refused to join him in defecting to the APC from the PDP. Despite banking on supporters from Mangu and Bokkos LGAs to officially decamp, they instead staged a rally in Mangu, endorsing Gov.

Caleb Mutfwang for a second term and reaffirming their commitment to the PDP. The rally, organized by the Mutfwang Phase Two Movement 2027, expressed refusal to follow Maren's defection, describing it as a political suicide move.

Supporters praised Mutfwang's leadership and performance in reshaping rural and urban communities, highlighting teamwork and loyalty within the PDP. The gathering, which included coordinators from various LGAs and political appointees, unanimously endorsed Mutfwang for a second term, signaling a shift in political dynamics in the state.
