Terrorists Attack NSCDC Checkpoint, Kidnap Local Resident

On Saturday night, suspected terrorists attacked a checkpoint belonging to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and a local brothel in the Tsamiya Community of Bagudo Local Government Area, Kebbi State. The assailants set the makeshift NSCDC checkpoint ablaze and kidnapped Alhaji Yusuf Bazamfar during the incident.

The Kebbi State Police Command confirmed the attack in a statement issued on Sunday by spokesperson Bashir Usman. Following the attack, the Commissioner of Police in Kebbi State ordered the immediate deployment of additional security personnel to the area to strengthen security and safeguard lives and property.

Ongoing efforts are being made to rescue the abducted victim and track down those responsible for the attack. The police are collaborating with security agencies to intensify operations aimed at rescuing the kidnap victim and bringing the perpetrators to justice.

Residents have been urged to remain calm and continue providing information to security agencies to support ongoing efforts against criminal activities in the area.
