Nigerian Rep Raises Concerns Over Discrepancies in Gazetted Tax Reform Law

Hon. Abdulsammad Dasuki, a member of the House of Representatives from Sokoto State, has expressed alarm over discrepancies in the gazetted version of the tax reform law recently passed by the National Assembly.

He highlighted material differences between the debated and harmonized versions approved by both the House and Senate. Dasuki called for urgent legislative scrutiny to rectify the discrepancies, warning that the current situation could undermine the legislative process.

The tax reform law is part of broader efforts to overhaul Nigeria's tax framework and align fiscal policies with ongoing economic reforms.
