Team Nigeria Sets Sights on Olympic Future at Islamic Games in Riyadh

Team Nigeria, comprising 35 athletes and 11 officials, has left Lagos for the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh. The trip is seen as a strategic move by the Nation Sport Commission (NSC) to prepare athletes for future Olympic competitions, particularly the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.

The Nigerian delegation aims to navigate logistical challenges faced in previous campaigns to ensure smooth participation. The Games will feature 21 sports, including seven in which Nigeria will compete, offering both immediate opportunities and long-term implications for the country's sporting future.
