Team Nigeria Heads to Egypt for World Karate Championship, Seeks Support from NSC

Team Nigeria has left for the World Karate Championship in Egypt, featuring five dedicated athletes: Ngozi Okoro, Godfirst Ori Ukoha, Constanc Tamunodieprey Abod, Ujunwa Carolin Nwankwo, and Oluwaseun Olorunb. Led by coach Efezino Akpotu and team leader Olusegun Abod, the athletes are set to compete in various categories.

The Karate Federation of Nigeria is appealing to the Nation Sport Commission for financial aid to cover debts related to the championship. The event is scheduled to take place in Cairo, Egypt, from November 27 to November 30, 2025.
