Celestial Church Investigates Temitope Osoba's Death

The Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) has initiated an investigation into the death of Yoruba actress Temitope Osoba, who passed away on August 5, 2026, at the age of 40. The church is examining allegations related to her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, a shepherd within the CCC.

In a statement from AVSE Kayode Ajala, the Head of Media and Publicity for the CCC, the church expressed its commitment to uncovering the truth surrounding Osoba's death, which has raised concerns about its reputation. The CCC categorically stated that it does not condone practices such as idolatry or black magic and described the allegations against Onadeko as “quite embarrassing.” The church has called for cooperation with law enforcement agencies to ensure justice is served and indicated that Onadeko could face disciplinary action and legal consequences if the allegations are substantiated.

Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, the Pastor and Spiritual Head Worldwide, has directed internal investigations to ascertain the facts.
