Tems Makes History as First Nigerian Female Artist to Sell 10m Units in US

Nigerian artist Tems has made history by becoming the first female Nigerian artist to sell 10 million units of a single in the United States. Tems achieved this milestone with her hit song "WAIT U" featuring Future and Drake.

The track not only surpassed the 10 million sales mark but also won Tems a Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance. This accomplishment adds to Tems' growing global success, as she previously became the first African female artist to surpass one billion streams on Spotify.

Tems' rise to fame began in 2020 with her collaboration with Wizkid on the song "Essence," which broke into the Billboard Hot 100.
