Nigerian Striker Terem Moffi Joins FC Porto from OGC Nice on Loan

Terem Moffi, a Nigerian forward, has signed for FC Porto on loan from OGC Nice with an option to make the deal permanent for €8 million. Moffi, who hails from Calabar, Nigeria, is the fifth Nigerian player to join Porto, following in the footsteps of Abraham Marcus, Chidozie Awaziem, Mikel Agu, and Zaidu Sanusi.

The 26-year-old striker has had a remarkable career trajectory, starting in England before making a name for himself in Lithuania and Belgium. His prolific goal-scoring record in France, where he scored 15 league goals in the 2020-2021 season, earned him a call-up to the Nigerian national team under coach Gernot Rohr.

Moffi's move to Porto comes after a successful spell at Nice, where he scored 20 goals in all competitions. The striker will wear the number 29 shirt at Porto and reunite with familiar faces like midfielder Pablo Rosario and head coach Francesco Farioli.

Moffi's transfer marks a significant step in his career as he looks to continue his goal-scoring exploits in Portugal.
