Nnamdi Kanu's Terrorism Trial Delayed Over Case File Retrieval Issues

The trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was stalled in a Federal High Court in Abuja as his defense team faced challenges in accessing the case file. The former legal team's failure to release the case file hindered defense preparation, prompting a request for an adjournment.

The lead counsel for the federal government, Adegboyega Awomolo, informed the court of the difficulties faced in retrieving the case file and seeking permission for foreign witnesses to access it. Despite concerns over delays, the judge granted the adjournment to allow Kanu to prepare his defense.
