NNPC Limited Reports Strong Financial Growth for 2025

NNPC Limited's publication of its 2025 Audited Financial Statements signifies a pivotal transformation from an opaque institution to a transparent energy company. The management's decision to publish these statements on schedule and engage with stakeholders is commendable.
The independent audit by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) provided an unmodified opinion, confirming that the financial statements fairly present the company's financial position and performance. Notably, profit after tax rose by approximately 33 percent from 5.4 trillion to 7.2 trillion, while earnings per share increased by about 32 percent to 35.9.
EBITDA grew by 22 percent to 18 trillion, and net cash from operating activities rose by 16.5 percent to 12.8 trillion. A dividend of 5.8 trillion was declared, a 35 percent increase from the previous year.
However, revenue fell by around 24 percent to 34.5 trillion due to lower crude oil prices and reduced petroleum product volumes following market deregulation.
