Niger Delta Faces Environmental Crisis Amid Oil Wealth

Emem Okon, Executive Director of Kebetkache Women Development Centre, highlighted the human impact of the crisis, sharing a poignant statement from a woman in Otuabagi community about the pervasive oil contamination. Despite numerous environmental reports documenting the devastation, the findings often lack the urgency needed from policymakers, leaving affected communities without access to critical information and support.
