Minister David Umahi Claims Social Media Gag Over Road Projects

David Umahi, the Minister of Works, alleged a conspiracy to silence him on social media concerning federal road projects in the South-East. He made these remarks while inspecting the Trans-Sahara Highway, which begins in Afikpo, Ebonyi State, and passes through Ado in Benue State, Nsukka, parts of Kogi State, and ends at Owete Bridge in the Federal Capital Territory.

Umahi refuted claims that he had monopolized road projects for the South-East, stating that there is documentation of all ongoing projects. He emphasized that he operates under the authority of the President and that the South-East is finally receiving its fair share of national infrastructure development.

Umahi acknowledged that while the South-East may not rank high in infrastructure development, it will not be last.
