Regina Akum: From First Lady to Influential Politician in Nigeria

Regina Akum, the first wife of Senator George Akum, is a notable figure in Nigerian politics. She served as a First Lady from 1999 to 2007 during her husband's tenure as governor.

Regina Akum later ventured into politics and won a seat in the House of Representatives representing Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency in Benue State under the APC. Despite her significant role in the legislature, she is yet to sponsor any bill or motion.
