Adeleke Attends Accord Party Primary Amid Tight Security in Osun

Osun State Governor, Senator Kola Adewusi, and top government officials attended the Accord Party governorship primary in Osogbo, Osun State, amid tight security with armed policemen and DSS operatives present. Adeleke, accompanied by his retinue of state officials, including commissioners and special advisers, declared his intent to seek re-election in 2026 under the new political platform.

The primary was monitored by INEC, and the Accord Party's national chairman, Barrister Maxwell Mgbudem, led the party's delegation. Adeleke's switch from the PDP to the Accord Party was influenced by internal crises within the PDP.
