Aliko Dangote Featured in TIME100 Influential List 2026

Aliko Dangote, founder of the Dangote Group, has been included in the TIME100 list for 2026, which was released on April 15. This marks his second appearance on the list, having first been recognized in 2014.

The TIME100 list features global leaders across politics, business, technology, and culture, including notable figures such as U.S. President Donald Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, and Pope Leo XIV.

TIME Magazine highlighted Dangote's role in advancing industrialization in Africa, emphasizing his investments in cement, agriculture, food processing, infrastructure, and energy. Additionally, his philanthropic efforts through the Aliko Dangote Foundation, which supports initiatives in healthcare, education, and economic empowerment, were acknowledged.

Furthermore, Dangote Industries Ltd. has unveiled a long-term growth plan, Vision 2030, aimed at expanding its global footprint and strengthening existing businesses, including cement and fertilizer production, while exploring new investments in steel, power, and port infrastructure.
