Tinubu Honors Journalist Babajide Kolade-Otitoju at 60

On Saturday, President Bola Tinubu paid tribute to veteran journalist Babajide Kolade-Otitoju in celebration of his 60th birthday. Tinubu described Otitoju as a journalist who speaks truth to power without fear, emphasizing his significant contributions to journalism in Nigeria.

The President particularly commended Otitoju's vast experience and knowledge across diverse disciplines, sectors, and cultures. Tinubu noted Otitoju's role as the anchor and director of the "Journalist Hangout" program on TVC, which provides rich information and analysis.

He recalled a defining moment in Otitoju's career when he bravely reported on religiously motivated killings in Kano, showcasing his courage. Otitoju's journalism career began at the Democrat newspaper in Kaduna in December 1991, and he later joined The New Group as a pioneer staff member in February 1993.

Tinubu congratulated Otitoju on reaching this milestone and commended his service to journalism in Nigeria.
