Michael Okpara, was described as a fitting tribute to the late Premier of the Eastern Region. Minister of Works, David Umahi, represented the President at the event, highlighting the quality of work done.

Tinubu acknowledged the importance of the project in touching the lives of the people of Abia State. The President's absence was due to the burial of the APC National Chairman's mother.

Tinubu expressed his intention to visit the state in December, recognizing the significance of the project in national politics.
