Notorious Kidnapper Granted Presidential Pardon for Abducting Mike Ozekhome in 2013

Kelvin Oniarah Ezigbo, a convicted kidnapper behind the abduction of Nigerian lawyer Mike Ozekhome in 2013, has been granted a presidential pardon reducing his 20-year prison term to 13 years. Ezigbo, infamous for his terrorist activities in Delta State, was involved in high-profile kidnappings, including that of Ozekhome's driver.

He was also linked to the abduction of Professor Hope Eghagha and the killing of two prison officials. Ezigbo and his associates were captured in Port Harcourt, leading to his trial and conviction.

The pardon has sparked controversy due to Ezigbo's criminal history.
