President Tinubu to Return This Week After Working Vacation

The Presidency has confirmed that President Bola Tinubu is in good health and is expected to return to Nigeria this week following a working vacation. Presidential Spokesperson Mr. Bayo Onanuga made this announcement via a statement on his official X handle.

Tinubu is set to return to Lagos to partake in events commemorating Nigeria's 66th Independence Anniversary. During his vacation, he conducted official engagements, which included meetings with investors in France.

A significant outcome of these engagements was the signing of agreements for a proposed $7 billion deep-sea port in Ogun Waterside. Onanuga emphasized that the President is entitled to a working vacation and noted that in the digital age, physical presence in Abuja is not necessary for fulfilling his presidential duties, which he was elected to perform in 2023.
