Tinubu Orders Probe into Kano Market Fire Incidents

President Bola Tinubu has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the causes of recurrent fire incidents at markets in Kano State, which have left traders in despair. This directive was issued in a statement on Sunday, following advice from Bayo Onanuga, who earlier communicated with Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to obtain a situational report regarding the recent inferno.

Tinubu described the incidents as tragic and expressed his condolences to the traders and people of Kano State affected by the devastating fire outbreak. The latest fire occurred at the Kano Singer Market over the weekend, starting on Saturday evening and continuing to rage into Sunday morning, resulting in significant damage to the food market.

This incident is particularly alarming as it follows another fire that destroyed dozens of shops and properties in the market less than two weeks prior.
