Tinubu Swears in New INEC Permanent Secretaries

On Thursday afternoon, President Bola Tinubu presided over a Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the State House in Abuja. During this meeting, he administered the oath of office to four newly appointed permanent secretaries of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The officials sworn in included Mr. Warren Bekearedebo from Bayelsa State, Dr.

Ayind Shoretire from Ogun State, Mallam Aminu Sani Yargaya from Kano State, and Mr. Nkiruka Bella Jone from Enugu State.

The ceremony also featured Rear Admiral Jamila Abubakar Sadiq Malafa (rtd), representing Adamawa State. The event was anchored by Abiodun Oladunjoy, Director of Media and Publicity at the State House, and attended by top government officials, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, and National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, among others.

Other cabinet members present included Minister of Finance Mr. Taiwo Oyeleke and Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Senator Atiku Bagudu.
