Tinubu Seeks Approval for N1.15trn Loan Amid Rising Debts

Former Lagos State Governor and political leader Bola Tinubu has requested the Nigerian Senate's approval for a new N1.15 trillion domestic loan to bridge the funding gap in the 2025 budget. The loan aims to ensure the full implementation of government programs and projects.

Senate President Godswil Akpabio referred the request to the Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debt for further review within a week before legislative action.
