Tinubu Requests Senate Approval for Ndanusa and FRC Nominees

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sought the Senate's confirmation for the nomination of Engineer Sani Ndanusa as a non-career Ambassador-Designate. Alongside this, he nominated seven individuals for the Board of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC) and requested the confirmation of Wakil Bulka as a member of the Federal Civil Service Commission representing Bauchi, Borno, and Yobe states.

These requests were made in separate correspondences addressed to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio. In the correspondence for Ndanusa’s confirmation, Tinubu referenced Section 171, subsections 2(c) and 4 of the 1999 Constitution, as amended, and attached Ndanusa’s curriculum vitae for Senate consideration.

The Senate has referred Ndanusa’s nomination to the Committee on Foreign Affairs for screening, with a two-week deadline for reporting back. The nominees for the FRC include Dr. Abdullahi Maikano Saidu as Chairman, and six members.

The Senate has also referred the FRC nominations to the Committee on Finance for consideration.
