South West Coordinator Rejects Appeal to Support Tinubu: Emphasizes Governance Competence

Alhaji Abass Olaniyi, the South West coordinator of the Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement, has rejected Reno Omokri's call for the South West to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. Olaniyi criticized Omokri's appeal, citing Tinubu's alleged economic failures and emphasizing the need for governance competence and ethnic reciprocity.

He argued that Tinubu's economic record has been catastrophic, with a significant decline in Nigeria's GDP and worsening economic indicators. Olaniyi urged politically conscious individuals not to succumb to emotional manipulation and to prioritize rewarding good governance over political alliances based on sentiment.
